Gifted and TalentedThe Wylie Independent School District is welcoming nominations for Gifted and Talented screening and testing.  Nomination packets will be available in the campus counselor’s office beginning on November 2, 2018.  The nomination period ends on January 11, 2019. Nomination packets are available from the campus counselor.  Nominators are urged to begin the paperwork at the earliest time possible.  The state definition of “gifted and talented student"  [is] . . .  a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experiences or environment.  This process includes multiple and specific criteria as required by the Texas Education Agency. Wylie ISD identifies and serves gifted students in grades K-12.
