WHS February Student Athletes of the Month

Wylie ISD and Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union would like to congratulate the six Wylie High School students selected as the WHS Student-Athletes of the Month for February 2025.

Isaiah Carrillo

Senior

Isaiah is a four-year member of the Wylie varsity basketball team and recently scored his 1,000th point as a Bulldog. Outside of WHS, Isaiah attends church at Beltway North. He plans to attend college at Abilene Christian University next fall.

Kamryn Long

Junior

Kamryn is a two-year member of the Wylie varsity basketball team. She is also a varsity cheerleader and is engaged in the WHS art program. She attends Beltway South Church and is involved in Abilene YoungLife. In her free time, Kamryn loves to work on her shooting for basketball as well as spend time with friends. She is a mentor in the Wylie Adopt-a-Cheerleader and Adopt-a-Bulldog and loves them both dearly. Kamryn plans to attend Abilene Christian University and major in Sports Management and Sports Analytics in hopes to become a Sports Lawyer.

Caitlyn McDonald

Senior

Caitlyn is a member of the Wylie powerlifting team with Coach Arthur. After graduation, Caitlyn plans to enlist in the United States Air Force and pursue a career as a firefighter.

Joseph Park

Senior

Joseph is a member of the Wylie varsity soccer team, and he is also involved at WHS in the CAN program. Outside of WHS, you’ll find Joseph attending church, hiking and traveling. He plans to pursue a career in aviation as a pilot.

Taylar Riley

Senior

Taylor is a three-sport athlete at Wylie competing in soccer, volleyball and track. She is also a member of the WHS National Honor Society. Taylor goes to church at Beltway, and she enjoys being outside and reading. Taylor plans to attend college but is still undecided on where she will attend.

Christian Smith

Senior

Christian is a member of the Wylie powerlifting team. He is also a second-year student in the WHS Ag Mechanics program. Christian works out at Crunch Fitness and attends church at Rise Church. He enjoys working with his hands on projects like welding, fabricating, fixing things, and working on cars and trucks. Christian plans to enter the workforce after high school preferably in pipeline welding.
