The cool temperatures of early April did absolutely nothing to slow down the blazing hot performances of the Wylie girls track team.
WHS scorched the track to a total of eight event titles, 26 top-3 finishes, 260 team points and one shiny district championship trophy at last week's District 4-5A Meet at Hugh Sandifer Stadium.
The team total of 260 points was 78 points better than second place Abilene High and 168 better than third place Abilene Cooper.
The team is now off to the Area meet on Friday, April 11 at Lowrey Field in Lubbock.
